About the Event

We’re teaming up with our neighbours at Farm Yard Brew Co and Cockerham Salt Marsh Lamb for a special night celebrating the best of Cockerham’s coastline.


Come sip on the limited edition beer ‘On Your Doorstep’ samphire beer, brewed by Farm Yard with foraged samphire from the salt marshes directly on our doorstep.


We'll also be serving a seasonal fire-cooked meal prepared by live fire cooking expert Mark Mashiter (from Lakeland Dexter) who will go slow and low preparing a full lamb asado style over the fire.


The lamb comes directly from our doorstep on the salt marshes belonging to our neighbours Stuart and Caroline Lawson. These lambs graze freely and also enjoy feasting on the very samphire used in the Farm, Yard brew, bringing the flavours of the coast straight to your plate.


This is a night to celebrate local food, farming, and community 'On Our Doorstep' for a true farm-to-fire dining experience.


The Feast

Lawson’s very local Salt Marsh Lamb cooked for 7 hours Asado style over fire. Marinaded in salmeura made with 'On Our Doorstep' beer and a beer-infused gravy

Plancha Lamb Fat Roasted potatoes.

Sweet potato, Carrots and Swede buried in Embers to gently roast.

Caramelised onions and red peppers cooked whole on the fire.

Flame Grilled Hispi Cabbage with smoked charcoal cream dressing

Julienned and fire stir-fried root veg with lemons, herbs and chili.


Sauces

Fire-roasted beetroots and feta sauce.

Chilli, Tomato and Rosemary Jelly

Salsa Verde


Pudding

Smoked Pineapple with rum butter and Wallings Ice Cream

It’s a 4-way collaboration:

  • The Rewilding - delivering immersive dining experiences and hosting the evening at Patty's Barn.

  • Farm Yard Brew Co-creators of the ‘On Your Doorstep’ samphire beer amongst many other delicious craft ales

  • Cockerham Salt Marsh Lamb - provides the finest local lamb directly from the salt marsh

  • Mark Mashiter from Lake Land Dexter - crafting a fire-cooked feast asado style, live fire cooking expert and also a fellow farmer.
